Dr. Alexander is the chairman of the science division and teaches Vertebrate Biology/Ecology, Ornithology and an interim course in Wildlife/Nature Photography.

Previously, "Dr. Bill" taught at Brevard College, Georgia Southern University and the University of South Carolina.

  • Tandy Technology Scholar - 1993 (a national award for excellence in teaching)
  • South Carolina Academy of Science Award of Excellence in Secondary Science or Mathematics teaching - 1999
  • National Association of Biology Teachers Outstanding Teacher Award for South Carolina -2000
