Twenty-three professionals Thursday took time out of their busy week to talk to GSSM’s junior class about their careers and college choices for Career Day 2009. With career choices varying from engineer to psychology professor, students were able to freely ask questions in the panel-format sessions. The panelists shared their college experiences, as well as gave insight to the trends they’ve noticed within their industries.

The grant will support programming of a new Unix-based computer lab. A special server and 12 initial workstations will launch this advanced computer science learning environment where students will study computer programming, communication between computers and computer systems management. The new Unix-based laboratory will be named the AT&T Advanced Computer Engineering Laboratory.
